Flowers worth buying for yourself

At Duncan Rd, we grow wild flowers using sustainable, heritage-inspired growing practices on our artisan flower farm in Waipapakauri, NZ.

Bringing the most unexpected blooms to the Far North, our unconventional approach to floristry is rooted in the belief that creativity is cultivated in the soil, and brought to life in every petal and stem.

We embrace the imperfections and unpredictability of the natural world, creating floral designs that are as unique and expressive as the individuals who receive them.

Our Garden in a Jar

Looking for the coolest flower delivery in Kaitaia, Mangonui, or Awanui? You’ve just found it. These aren’t your average florist bunches. They’re little landscapes of nature gathered - bold, unruly, and ever-changing.

Grown outdoors and cut by hand, every arrangement captures a moment in the garden: the soil, the season, the weather that week. No two are the same.

Our unconventional approach to floristry blends sustainability with art; no stock-standard bunches, just seasonal colour, texture, and form straight from the garden.

No more boring flowers.

Meet the Grower

Meet Kat, the hands, heart, and dirt-stained boots behind Duncan Rd. She’s obsessed with growing flowers that break the mould and finding new varieties and colours for people in the North to enjoy.

But her true deep passion? Soil and soil health; compost, microbes, homemade brews; she’s out there like a garden witch, crafting natural fertilisers and tending to the land with care and intention. For Kat, healing the soil isn’t just a method - it’s a mission.

Every season starts with seeds, but what grows here is joy.

“Every season I'm revitalised when sowing new seeds and planting out new seedlings. Watching everything grow and nurturing each plant brings me such true joy”

- Kat Rodger

The Land

Where the Soil tells Stories

Duncan Rd is located in Waipapakauri in the Far North of NZ, land once cloaked in ancient kauri forests and gumfields.

Thanks to a unique microclimate, the farm enjoys an unusually long flowering season that often begins as early as late June (well ahead of most outdoor NZ gardens).

We honour this heritage by nurturing the soil through regenerative practices, ensuring that every bloom carries the essence of this remarkable place.
